If you could be any kind of animal, what would you be?
Maybe you would like to be a cheetah for its speed.
Maybe you would like to be a lion for its power.
Maybe you would like to be a monkey for its intelligence.
Some days you will need speed, other days you will need power, and still others you will need intelligence. But every day you will need to rise above some type of adversity.
I want you to remember to be an eagle when adversity comes because eagles rise above adversity.
Eagles are different than most other animals and all other birds in their response to a storm. When a storm is approaching most animals and birds seek shelter from the storm and its potential harm or destruction.
But not the eagle.
The eagle actually flies with the storm and uses the drafts from the winds to push itself higher and rise above the storm.
There is another animal who has a unique approach to storms...the buffalo. When buffalo see a storm approaching they will actually run toward the storm and run through it. This minimizes the time the storm actually affects the buffalo and can limit its damage.
However, the buffalo is simply enduring the storm and trying to survive.
The eagle is not just enduring the storm. It is using the storm to push it to new heights and not letting the storm permanently harm it.
We all have storms in our lives. Some of us have more storms than others. Some of us have rougher storms than others.
But if you are an eagle you can have a new perspective on storms.
You can use them to push you to greater heights rather than simply enduring them.
You can rise above the storms, learn from them, and become a stronger flyer.
It doesn’t mean that it is easy.
It doesn’t mean that the storms don’t hurt.
It means that you can always be an eagle and RISE ABOVE your storms.
